What it costs, and when you pay

Applying is free. Nothing is due until you have been accepted in writing. This page explains the order money moves in — so you know what should happen next, and what should never happen.

Applying costs nothing

There is no application fee and no deposit to enquire or to apply. You pay only once you have been accepted and are enrolling, and each payment is tied to a milestone you can verify.

The one exception The pilot aptitude assessment. The Advanced Self-Check is USD 20 — and it is credited to your tuition if you enrol, so it costs nothing if you go ahead. Discovery Flight guests receive a voucher to take it free. The deeper Cadet Assessment (USD 300) is already included in the Cadet Pilot Program — never charged separately. We use these to confirm honestly that flight training suits you before a family commits to something expensive. We do not recommend training to those we do not think it suits.

The order money moves in

This sequence is fixed. If anything reaches you out of this order, stop and write to us at info@continentalaero.com.

You apply, and we review

Free. Send your documents and we screen them. Nothing is owed at this stage, and nothing is owed if we decide the fit is not right.

We issue your Letter of Acceptance

Also free. The letter states your programme, your intake, and the exact first-instalment amount. The payment instructions arrive with this letter — never separately, never before it, never by chat message.

You pay the first instalment

Using only the instructions that came with your Letter of Acceptance.

We issue your Confirmation of Enrollment

Your seat and intake are locked from this point. If you have paid and this has not reached you, tell us — that is our error, not a delay you should absorb quietly.

Protect yourself Continental Aero never asks for money before the Letter of Acceptance, and bank details always travel with that letter. If you are ever sent account details through a chat app, a social media message, or an email that does not carry your acceptance letter, treat it as fraud and contact us directly at info@continentalaero.com before sending anything.

How much

Build your own figure at continentalaero.com/packages. Choose the licences you want — PPL, CPL, Instrument, Multi-Engine, ATPL theory, or the integrated Cadet Pilot Program — and the calculator shows your total and the instalment schedule that goes with it.

We do not quote a single lump-sum figure by email. Your total depends on which licences you take and in what combination, and a number typed into a message goes out of date. The calculator does not.

Why the Cadet Program costs more than one licence

Because it is the whole journey, not one step of it: PPL through CPL, Instrument, Multi-Engine and ATPL theory to a Frozen ATPL. You are funding zero-to-airline-ready in one programme, so the total is naturally higher than any single licence taken alone.

Payment is by milestone, not in one lump

Instalments are aligned to points in your training, so money follows progress. If you would like help planning the schedule around your own circumstances, ask us — we do this with international families regularly.

Costs that are not ours

Some fees are paid to the government, not to the school, and we would rather you saw them early than met them as a surprise. These are published figures from the CAAP Citizen's Charter and are set by the authority, not by us.

Read this before adding them up These are licence issuance fees only. They are not a second tuition, and they are not a complete list of every incidental cost of living and training in Cebu. A private CAAP-accredited medical examiner sets their own rate, which differs from the CAAP clinic figure above. Ask us and we will walk through your particular case honestly.

If you are coming from abroad

We support international students with structured payment plans, currency-stable invoicing and pre-arrival financial counselling. Housing in Cebu typically runs USD 400–600 a month and we help you find it — student dormitories through to private apartments near the hangar.
