Company History Timeline

Established in 1980 by Mrs. Adelisa Areopagita, Aero Flying Club is a pioneer and one of the earliest flying clubs in the Philippines

1980

The challenges posed by the economic recession in 2001 caused a decline in foreign student enrollment, resulting in the halt of operations.

2003

Relocated training operations from Pasay, Metro Manila to Mactan Cebu International
Airport (MCIA)

2012

Continuing its pioneering legacy by training cadets from all over the world

Aero Flying Club underwent a name change, becoming the Continental Aero Flying School, and further solidified its presence by establishing additional training facilities in Iloilo, Cebu, and
Davao.

2011

Capt. Jithin J. Bhadran and a team of aviation professionals acquired Continental Aero Flying School Inc., which successfully obtained re-certification and an Approved Training Organization Certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority.

2015

Continental collaborated with Air Niugini for the 2015 Airline Audit Expo and participated in Air Niugini’s 41st Anniversary celebration.

HOW TO APPLY?

Prospective students can fill-up the Application Form and submit all required documents at info@continentalaero.com. Please note that applicants are still require to submit the documents in person.

WHEN IS THE UPCOMING ENROLLMENT PERIOD FOR NEW BATCHES OF STUDENTS?

We offer the opportunity for student enrollment on a monthly basis. This means that you can apply and join our programs at any point throughout the year, as we have rolling admissions.

DO YOU PROVIDE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR STUDENTS?

We understand the importance of a conducive environment for focused training. Therefore, we’re pleased to provide you with a curated list of recommended accommodations that are well-suited for your training needs, ensuring a productive learning experience. This includes options with amenities and facilities that cater to the requirements of aviation students.

WHAT ARE THE GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS?
  • At least 17 years of age
  • At least a High School Graduate, no College Degree required
  • Physically and mentally fit and of good moral character
  • Can read, speak and understand the English language
  • Has not been convicted of criminal or administrative case
WHAT ARE THE ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS?
  • Filled up application form
  • 10 pcs (2×2) and 10 pcs (1×1) white background picture
  • NBI Clearance (Original)
  • 2nd class Airman’s Medical Certificate (Basic Medical Exam)
WHAT ARE THE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS?
  • Tourist Visa with at least one year valid passport
  • Once enrolled, CAFS will apply for a Special Study Permit (SSP) with the Bureau of Immigration before commencing classes.
WHAT ARE THE ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES?

Step 1: Choose Your Program

Select the flight-training program that aligns with your aviation goals. We offer a range of courses, from private pilot licenses to commercial pilot certifications and advanced aviation training.

Step 2: Submit Application

Complete the Airmen Personal License application form with your personal details, educational background, and aviation experience (if any). Ensure all required documents, such as NSO Birth Certificate, NBI Clearance, and I.D. pictures are prepared for submission.

Step 3: Medical Examination

All students must undergo a Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) approved medical examination to ensure they meet the required physical standards for aviation. Upon passing, students receive a 2nd class airmen medical certificate, valid for 2 years, ensuring their fitness for a successful aviation journey.

Step 5: Payment and Registration

Secure your spot by paying the required fees. Simply visit our office to request your invoice and payment schedules. Once you have the details, you can conveniently make the payment through cash, bank, or wireless transfer.

Step 6: Welcome to CAFS

As a new student at Continental Aero Flying School, you will receive a warm welcome during the orientation session. Here, you’ll get acquainted with the school facilities, flight instructors, admin staff, mechanic crew, and fellow students, setting the stage for a thrilling aviation journey.
