  • 200+ flight hours · 230+ ground-school hours

Private 3–6 months

Private Pilot License (PPL)

Your license to fly — for recreation, family trips, building hours. Ground school (110 hrs) + Cessna 172 flight (42 hrs) + simulator (5 hrs).

  • Student Pilot License · NTC Radio · ELP · PPL
  • Weekend-flexible schedule
  • Same fleet as airline cadets
Commercial 10–12 months

Commercial Pilot License (CPL)

Become a paid pilot — charter, cargo, corporate, airline pipeline. Home of Capt. Samuel Stiff (FedEx alumni). 200-hour build-up with cross-country and solo operations.

  • Professional-grade 200+ hours
  • Cross-country · solo operations
  • CAAP checkrides included

Instrument Rating (IR)

Fly when others can't — through clouds, at night, in instrument meteorological conditions. Required for every airline career. FNPT II simulator + real IFR flight.

  • IMC and IFR-rich operations
  • FNPT II full-motion simulator
  • Airline career prerequisite
Multi-Engine 4–6 weeks

Multi-Engine Rating (ME)

Twin-engine certification on the Beechcraft Baron 58 — the aircraft every regional airline wants to see on a first-officer logbook.

  • Beechcraft Baron 58 · MT 4-blade composite
  • Engine-out handling + asymmetric ops
  • Airline first-officer preparation
ATPL Theory 2–3 months

Airline Transport Pilot License (Theory)

The theoretical foundation every airline captain holds. 230-hour ground school across 11 subjects — the capstone before practical ATPL hours accumulate on the line.

  • 230 hours · 11 subjects · 56 training days
  • Crew Resource Management included
  • CAAP ATPL written examination
Instructor Track 2–3 months

Flight Instructor Rating (FI)

The only pilot license that pays you while you build hours. Teach primary students, earn instructor compensation, accumulate the PIC time airlines want.

  • CPL + IR prerequisite
Modular Stack 16–20 months

PPL + CPL + IR (Modular)

The self-paced route to a commercial pilot's instrument rating. License by license. Pay as you earn each one. For students who prefer flexibility over airline-pipeline commitment.

  • Three licenses · one continuous fleet + instructor team
  • Pause between programs allowed
  • Re-apply Cadet on any future intake

How Pilot Training Gets Priced

Four cost categories.
Every one disclosed up front.

Every CAAP-accredited flight school in the Philippines operates under the same four-layer pricing structure. What separates schools is whether they tell you about all four before your deposit — or invoice for some after.

01
Locked at enrollment

Base Package

Every flight hour, ground-school hour, CAAP exam, and checkride within your program's expected window. The figure you sign at enrollment is the figure you complete the program on.

02
Industry-wide · 30-day notice

Industry Surcharges

Jet fuel and inflation adjustments. Applied uniformly across every CAAP flight school in the Philippines — these aren't CAFS-specific add-ons, they're aviation-training economics. Formula disclosed in your enrollment agreement, with 30-day advance notice before any activation.

03
Your pace · your choice

Duration-Based Fees

Each program has an expected completion window — PPL ~5 months, CPL ~10 months, Cadet 18–24 months. Finish on schedule, pay only the base package. Life circumstances extending your training means a monthly fee covers the continued aircraft and instructor time. Faster progress pays less — this keeps CAFS affordable for every cohort.

04
Elective add-ons

Optional Costs

Additional flight hours beyond the syllabus (rare), retakes (rare), and external essentials you choose — accommodation, meals, transport, medical certification, pilot supplies. Every category itemized in your package PDF before you decide.

What matters is not whether a school has four categories.
Every CAAP school does.

What matters is whether the school tells you about all four before you pay your deposit.

Quality isn't what gets cut when you price something well.

Investment tier · commitment scale

Five tiers. Same logic across all nine programs.

Every program page carries a Tier chip so you can place it on this scale before you open the package. The scale is about commitment size — hours logged, licenses earned, pipeline depth — not arbitrary ranking. Exact figures live in the downloadable package per program.

Tier 0
45-minute experience · single flight, no credential earned
Discovery Flight
Tier 1
Single add-on · short rating or refresher on top of an existing license
Multi-Engine Rating · Instrument Rating · Refreshers
Tier 2
First license · entry pilot credential · months of training
Private Pilot License (PPL)
Tier 3
Professional license · the threshold to earn flying · 200+ hrs logged
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
Tier 4
Integrated airline pipeline · zero-to-Frozen-ATPL · cohort · MOU placement pathway
